LinkedIn launched analytic support to the Company Pages on Wednesday. This allows businesses the opportunity to find out how their content performs across LinkedIn.
Brands and companies can use these analytics to keep a track on the engagement derived by a specific LinkedIn post. The analytic support also allows companies to get a detailed demographic of their followers and compare the growth of their brand against similar brands using the site.
The LinkedIn analytics is used for reporting, measurement, collection, analysis of LinkedIn traffic data which is used by companies for market and business research.

The company recently launched Sponsored Updates, which let businesses pay to promote updates to a much broader audience. With the new page analytics, it will be easier for businesses to track how their sponsored updates are fairing with their audience.
